Bad-ass bridal inspo
It all begins with an vintage red muscle car parked in the shinning sun.
Have you ever seen a car and thought to yourself “I want to cover that with flowers”? Because that’s exactly what happened with this photo shoot. Now full disclaimer, the car we used was not the car that inspired the idea, but rather borrowed from local vintage car enthusiast, Carey Samuels.
Once the idea was set, and we really wanted to create this fun, runaway bride with a rocker vibe, we reached out to local designer Ouma Bridal and were able to outfit our bride in the Zephyr mini. What a stunning gown! Such a feminine, bold, and romantic look. Made me wish I could get married again just to be able to wear this dress.
Our goal was to demonstrate that weddings and flowers can be (and should be, in our humble opinion) whatever you want them to be. Whether that’s hotrods and roadside stops, or ballrooms and fancy canapes, couples should stay true to who they are and what they want to feel and experience on their wedding day.
Lastly, we believe that leaning into the seasonality of flowers is important and wanted to highlight that in this photo shoot. All the flowers used are local, and some elements like the blackberry stems were responsibly foraged. Being late August when this took place, we wanted the flowers to feel as if they had been kissed by the sun, and bring that golden hour warmth an extra kick.
The afternoon was captured by amazing local photographer, Bowline Photo.
